You can see their wedding film below and I hope we created a beautiful testament to the power of love and charm of this remarkable region.
The Setting: A Timeless Venue
The wedding was held at a charming château nestled in the heart of the Périgord in the Dordogne. The venue, with its centuries-old stone walls and sprawling gardens, exuded an old-world charm that perfectly complemented the intimate gathering. As guests arrived, they were greeted by the scent of blooming lavender and the gentle hum of bees – a sensory welcome to the day’s festivities. Chateau de Redon has the cpaacity to suit every couple; it has an industrial size kitchen, plenty of bedrooms for guests, walled gardens and a swimming pool - it really does have everything you could ever desire for a destination wedding.
The Ceremony: A Personal Touch
The ceremony took place in a secluded garden, under a canopy of ancient oak trees. The couple exchanged vows in front of a small gathering of their closest family and friends, making the moment incredibly personal and heartfelt. The bride, in an elegant Pronovias gown, and the groom, in a tailored crushed velvet suit, looked radiant against the backdrop of lush greenery and vibrant flowers.
Their celebrant weaved in personal anecdotes and meaningful readings into the service. This added a deeply personal touch, making it feel less like a formal event and more like a gathering of loved ones to celebrate a shared joy.
The Reception: French Culinary Delights
Post-ceremony, the guests were invited to move to the back of the house to overlook the rolling fields that reached the horizon and beyond! There, they enjoyed a cocktail hour with musical accompaniment from a local saxophonist! Following this, the wedding guestes were treated to a reception that was a true culinary delight. Set in an open-air courtyard, lit by candlelight and fairy lights, the dinner featured long, rustic tables adorned with simple yet elegant floral arrangements. The menu, crafted by a renowned local chef, showcased the best of French cuisine.
The wine, sourced from local vineyards, flowed freely, each bottle telling the story of the land from which it came. As the evening progressed, laughter and conversation filled the air, and the warm glow of candlelight added to the enchanting atmosphere.
